ELI GARMENDIA, Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, 1984

Licenciada en Fotografía y Creación Digital en el CITM, por la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña de Terrassa en 2006, ha complementado su formación a través de talleres con fotógrafos como Antoine d’Agata, David Jiménez o Jon Uriarte. Utiliza la fotografía como herramienta de cuestionamiento y experimentación autobiográfica y en sus proyectos muestra, relatos íntimos atravesados por distintos planos de sentido. Le interesan temas como la identidad, el cuerpo, la naturaleza y la música. La obra de Eli ha sido expuesta en festivales de fotografía como, GuatePhoto 2015, Sevilla Foto 2009, ARGI Festibala 2017 o Baffest 2020, ha recibido menciones en Foconorte 2010 y Baffest 2019 y ha sido expuesto en salas y galerías como Tabakalera 2017, El Fotomata 2009 o GKo Gallery 2008 y 2017 entre otros. Su trabajo El Bosque Dormido ha sido becado por la Residencia de Artistas The Interdisciplinary art gropup of SERDE en Letonia 2016 y también nominado para el Prix Pictet 2016. Actualmente está inmersa en el proceso de creación del libro de El Bosque Dormido.

Argazkigintzan eta Sorkuntza Digitalean lizentziaduna CITMn, Terrassako Kataluniako Unibertsitate Politeknikoan 2006an, bere prestakuntza Antoine d ‘Agata, David Jiménez edo Jon Uriarte argazkilariekin egindako tailerren bidez osatu du. Argazkigintza erabiltzen du zalantzan jartzeko eta esperimentazio autobiografikorako tresna gisa, eta bere proiektuetan zentzu-plano desberdinek zeharkatutako kontakizun intimoak erakusten ditu. Nortasuna, gorputza, natura eta musika bezalako gaiak interesatzen zaizkio. Eliren lana GuatePhoto 2015, Sevilla Foto 2009, ARGI Festibala 2017 edo Baffest 2020 bezalako jaialdietan erakutsi da, Foconorte 2010 eta Baffest 2019 bezalako aretoetan eta galerietan erakutsi da, besteak beste, Tabakalera 2017, El Fotomata 2009 eta GKo Gallery 2008 eta 2017. 2016ko Letoniako The Interdisciplinary art gropup of SERDE Artisten Egoitzak beka eman dio El Bosque Dormido lanari, eta 2016ko Prix Pictet azokarako ere izendatu dute.
